The Canisius athletic department has partnered with The Aspire Group, the global leader in athletic revenue enhancement, to increase athletic ticket sales and attendance by providing enhanced customer service through a custom-built Canisius Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC). Launching this fall, the Canisius FRMC will be fully-operational with a full-time selling manager and sales consultant in the Buffalo market. The FRMC will be responsible for ticket sales for the Golden Griffin men and women’s basketball programs as well as the hockey and men’s lacrosse teams.

“Our athletics programs have made great strides in the past three years and our next step is to capitalize on this momentum by expanding our fan base through greater outreach and excellent customer service,” Director of Athletics Bill Maher said. “By partnering with The Aspire Group, we can deliver on this promise and continually evaluate areas where we can maximize ticket sales and attendance at our home games.”

C.J. Wiatr, regional vice president for The Aspire Group, will serve as the liaison between Aspire and the Canisius athletic department. Wiatr has held the title of regional vice president for more than two years, and previously oversaw Aspire’s Fan Relationship Management Center at Rutgers University.

“The Canisius athletic brand has been growing steadily over the past few years with the recent success of the men’s basketball program under head coach Jim Baron and the hockey team’s move to HARBORCENTER,” Wiatr said. “Combined with the great tradition of the women’s basketball program and the excitement that is generated by the school’s men’s lacrosse program, Canisius is providing a product that has the potential to generate plenty of fan interest in Western New York and Southern Ontario.”
