San José State University Athletics teams up with The Aspire Sport Marketing Group

Atlanta, Ga. – San José State University Athletics and The Aspire Sport Marketing Group, LLC, reached a three-year agreement beginning January 2018 to create and operate an on-campus Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) to handle all of the Spartans’ ticket sales and service functions connected to the athletics ticket buyer. Marie Tuite, the university’s director of athletics, made the announcement.
“We are proud to announce our new partnership with The Aspire Group,” said Tuite. “They bring significant ticket sales and customer service experience in highly competitive markets that will assist us in the long term sustainability of our programs through deeper customer relationships and immediate revenue and attendance results.”
“San José State is in a very competitive market with multiple professional and collegiate properties in the Bay Area,” said Bill Duffy, Chief Executive Officer for The Aspire Group. “With many of our partners occupying the landscape, we see it as an opportunity to connect with more Spartan fans than ever and give them the personalized service they are looking for and deserve.”
San José State will have access to Aspire’s proprietary “Next Practices” policies and procedures that are made available to all Aspire clients nationwide.
Senior associate athletics director Blake Sasaki will be the San José State liaison to the Aspire team assigned to the Spartans’ FRMC. Tony Garrett, vice-president for The Aspire Group’s West Coast operations, will be the company liaison to San José State Athletics.
San José State’s FRMC and staff will be housed in the department’s Alan B. Simpkins Intercollegiate Athletics Administration Building located at 1393 S. 7th Street at the corner of 7th Street and Alma Avenue. Parking is available for the walk-up or drop-in consumer seeking to purchase season and single-game tickets to San José State athletics events.
