The University of Texas at El Paso Partners with The Aspire Group

ATLANTA, GA – The University of Texas at El Paso Athletics (UTEP) has announced a multi-year partnership with The Aspire Sport Marketing Group, outsourcing ticket service and operations effective July 1, 2020. Aspire’s Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) staff will be responsible for selling a full ticket menu across UTEP’s football, men’s and women’s basketball, softball, soccer, and women’s volleyball teams. Sales and service consultants will also assist with ticket-related and standalone donations to UTEP’s Miner Athletic Club. An on-site database manager and Aspire’s “Strategy, Analytics, and Marketing” team will lead intelligent segmentation, marketing, and fan research efforts for the Miners.

“We are very excited to partner with Aspire and to bring their proven ticket sales, game attendance and revenue generation strategies to UTEP,” said UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter.  “They will help us continue to elevate our external engagement as well as provide unprecedented service to our incredible fans.”

Chad Cardinal, Vice President of Fan Relationship Management, will serve as the primary liaison for The Aspire Group and the FRMC will have a staff size of seven. The University of Texas at El Paso Athletics comes in as Aspire’s 9th new partner for 2020.

Competing as Texas Western, UTEP’s 1966 hall of fame men’s basketball team and all-black starting lineup recorded a historic victory over Kentucky for the national title. The team and head coach Don Haskins, who made history by starting the first all-black starting lineup in the national championship game, are enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The 1965-1966 season was immortalized in the book and film, Glory Road, for its role in the desegregation of college athletics.
